Overview // Supported browsers

Timestamp is designed to run on modern desktop and mobile browsers. You can access Timestamp wherever you have an Internet connection via any device running a supported browser with Javascript enabled.

If you are unsure what browser you are currently using, go to http://whatbrowser.org where you can find out and see if you are up to date.

Internet Explorer 8/9/10

For the best, richest experience with Timestamp, we strongly recommend that you upgrade to the latest version of Internet Explorer. Modern versions of Internet Explorer offer faster web browsing, integrated spell-checking, improved security, and more.

Internet Explorer 10 supports finished 01 September 2016, IE 9 10 March 2015 and IE 8 8 April 2014. These users will not be blocked from connecting to Timestamp after this date; however, you should expect slower performance and a more basic experience with Timestamp, and potentially broken areas of the app.

Internet Explorer 6 and 7

Timestamp will not work with Internet Explorer 6 or 7 as these are older browsers which do not support many of the features necessary for a modern web app. They lack the security features of newer browsers, are slow and notoriously buggy.

Timestamp is a Web App (not a Website), and as such requires a level of Web standards compliance to function properly. A Web App puts more demands on the Web browser, demands that cannot be met by older browsers like Internet Explorer 6 and 7. Whilst you may be able to view some Websites with your current browser, you will probably not be getting an optimal experience.

If you are unable to upgrade to a newer Internet Explorer, we recommend looking at alternatives like Google Chrome

Mobile browsers

Timestamp has been optimised to work with iOS Safari and Android Chrome. If you only have access to an older Internet Explorer, we would recommend using a mobile browser instead.
